When are the “Big 4” Fashion Weeks?
Fashion Week is an exciting time for fashion lovers around the world. Every February-March and September-October, some of the best designers in the world showcase their upcoming collections at the Big 4 fashion weeks—New York, Paris, London, and Milan. But when exactly do these events take place? Let’s take a closer look.
New York Fashion Week
New York Fashion Week (NYFW) takes place twice a year in February and September. This year’s fall/winter event will be held from February 11th to 18th at multiple venues throughout New York City including Skylight Clarkson Square and Spring Studios. The spring/summer event will take place from September 9th to 17th at venues such as MADE NYC, Industria Superstudio, and Schimanski Brooklyn.
London Fashion Week
London Fashion Week (LFW) takes place after New York in February and September. This year’s fall/winter event will be held from February 19-23rd at several locations across London with new digital initiatives launching on March 1st. The spring/summer event will be held from June 17-21st while the autumn/winter event is scheduled for September 16-20th .
Milan Fashion Week
Milan Fashion Week (MFW) happens after London and before Paris. This year’s winter event was held virtually between January 19-25th while this summer’s resort show took place digitally between April 21-27th with physical shows taking place on May 25–31st at various locations throughout Milan including Via Tortona 31 /33 and Arco della Pace . The autumn/winter show is scheduled for July 8–14th with pre-collections taking place August 10–16th while the next edition of MFW Resort Show is slated for November 3–9th with pre-collections running December 5–11th .
Paris Fashion Week
Paris Fashion Week (PFW), the last in sequence of the four fashion weeks, happens in February/March and September/October. This year’s fall/winter event will be held from February 26th to March 6th at various venues including Le Grand Palais, Carreau du Temple, Hôtel des Invalides & Musée de l’Armée. The spring/summer event will take place from October 1st to 9th at venues such as La Cité de la Mode et du Design and Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord.
