Fashion Week 2018

Only Paris has released official dates for 2018. Fortunately, it's not difficult to predict the dates for New York, London, and Milan, as the dates tend to "stack," with Paris last.

The intention, of course, is for them to not overlap, so editors can hurry from one fashion capital to the next and make the "important" shows.

So you might think of the dates as Legos: probably houndstooth-patterned ones. Hey, that would be pretty cool idea, wouldn't it? "Fashion Legos!" Someone tell the descendents of Ole Kirk Christiansen! (He invited the Lego. See, we do our homework around here!)

NYFW 2018: Technological Developments

The robots are here! Run! Okay, not really. Anyway, wearable technology and virtual reality fashion shows will soon dominate the runways of New York Fashion Week 2018. (Ready Player One, anyone?) Progress has been amazing in the field of clothing, and fashion designers have been trying to imprint those technological developments in their creations. The future is here, and fashion has embraced it in the most spectacular manner!

The Responsive Garment

Textile color change is able to create true masterpieces of art, interacting with the person who is wearing the garment. Juliana Bass has already collaborated with the innovative LOOMIA, a company aiming at integrating technology into clothing.

Although the wearer does not feel any change, the responsiveness is apparent and offers an impressive effect. The whole concept is based on body heat, and there are also buttons used for the color change in the textile. The changes in the colors are subtle yet noticeable, while the patterns depict the new trends in fashion.

Nowadays, such technology is not yet available to the public. However, significant progress has taken place, and soon people will have the opportunity to indulge in responsive garments. Fashion industry at NYFW 2018 gives us a glimpse into the future, without a doubt!

Imagine being able to wear clothes that interact with the weather conditions or your emotions and your body heat. They open up new horizons in the aesthetic field of fashion. Technology becomes an asset in creating more functional, impressive and practical garments.

Virtual Reality and Fashion

Fashion and technology have blended wonderfully, and brands like Samsung want to make the most of this fusion. Besides wearable technology in applications such as fitness trackers, now technology has immersed into fashion with a different perspective.

Introducing the consumer to a whole new experience of virtual reality is a challenge. In an all-digital fashion presentation, the change in New York Fashion Week 2018 is outstanding. Rather than trying to be in the front row of a great fashion show, consumers can now turn to technology and virtual reality.

The news is groundbreaking. In the retail industry, virtual reality will be amazing and offer superb possibilities to the consumer. Through the virtual presentation, there are innumerable features for the people to see. Instead of a static, limited presentation that allows no room for creativity, technological developments are now moving towards the future of fashion.

What Does the Future Hold?

NYFW 2018 will soon be earth shattering with all the innovations that will take place. Fashionistas and technologgy connoisseurs have teamed up, and the results are more than optimistic. In a never ending pursue of innovation and timeless style, fashion now serves a different purpose.

Technological developments in New York Fashion Week 2018 will soon reveal the future. In a world where everything has gone digital, fashion could not be left behind. And with the right partnerships, the fashion industry has a lot more innovations to show off.

Wowzers.
